Brother LLoyd Saatjian
The late Brother LLoyd spoke on multiple occasions at the Redwood Christian Ashram. These audio recordings come from his teaching in 2008. His rich heritage and story telling abilities shine through as he brings a new light to the scripture from a Middle Eastern Perspective. Mp3 audio files can be also be streamed or downloaded. Introduction
While we will not specifically discuss this section we highly encourage you to listen if you have time. In this section Brother LLoyd Saatjian introduces himself and discusses the richness revealed when reading scripture with the background of the Eastern tradition. The main story for this talk comes from John 13: Jesus washes the disciples feet.
Friday Evening
Brother LLoyd uses the story of Jesus' rejection at Nazareth and the Unjust Steward to shed light on the scriptures emphasis on God's abundant Mercy. While our discussion will focus around these two stories (from 0:00 to 34:00). If you have time we recommend listening to LLoyd's discussion of the phrase "No room in the inn" as seen from a Middle Eastern perspective that follows these two stories.
Saturday Evening
Brother LLoyd begins this talk with several stories from his life and ministry. The portion of the talk that we will be focusing on begins at 31:00 and goes to the end. His discussion of Luke 15 focuses on the importance of repentance and forgiveness.
Sunday Evening
This is a truly rich discussion of two great parables from the Eastern perspective. This is the longest of the four talks. For those without the time to listen to the full hour we recommend beginning at 13:00 and continuing to the end.

Q: Where will I access the content?
A: All content except discussions can be accessed through this page. Live discussions will be accessed through Zoom. Make sure to register to receive the link.
Q: What if I am working and cannot attend any of the live discussion or I can attend some and not others?
A: We hope that as many people as possible can participate in the discussion times but they are not required. If you are unable to attend some live discussion but not others that is perfectly fine.
Q: I have children that want to participate. Is there a program for them?
A: There will not be specialized content for children but they are welcome to participate with the group.

Q: What is Redwood Christian Ashram?
A: Redwood Christian Ashram is a Christian family camp held each summer in the Santa Cruz mountains of California. We are very excited to be able to be back on site this summer but want to continue offering an online retreat that is accessible to everyone.
